Friggin' Scared The Shits Out Of Me

It's Halloween today... Chung Fui woke up thinking it was just another ordinary university day. Well, he was wrong.

Woke up refreshed nice and early today, for the first time in a long while. It was a chilly morning, but nevertheless decided to open the curtains wide and smell the sweet sweet fragrance of the student accomodation when...

WHAT THE (@(#*%&#)%(*&*&#@^*&!^@!!!

A window cleaner was hanging outside my 5th floor window! I was stunned as he gave me a lil' smile and a wave.

So much for an uneventful Halloween. Geeez...

I hope your appearance was decent. Otherwise, you could have caused involuntary manslaughter. 5 floors is a long way to fall...

ello =) i happened to stumble upon your blog through a friend's blog.

anyway, since i'm here, i might as well ask you this question - is halloween as big a deal in the UK as it is in the US?

was just discussing this with a friend earlier on. coz here in australia, it's no big deal at all. the day passed by with nothing to remind me it was halloween. this is contrary to my friend (as well as mine) belief that halloween is an occassion much celebrated in most western countries.

keiz: welcome welcome! well, its not a big deal, but i guess da people (students especially in manchester) in the UK just treat it as another day to celebrate by dressing up in costumes...

actually, did u know dat halloween orignated frm ireland, and was brought over 2 america by irish immigrants...

oooo so it's originated from ireland eh? i've always thought it's an american thing. well waddyaknow.. learn something new everything! :D

at least the students there bother to dress up. none of the student in my uni did! but then again, it's exam period, so i doubt anyone actually has the mood to dress up. not that i think we need to. the heavy eyebags and extremely stressed faces are scary enough as they are. sure beats any costumes there are out there! =P
