About Growing Up & Taking Responsibility

An incident as brought to my attention a few days ago, which led me to understand the mistakes I have been making in the past.

I realised that blog posting requires a great deal of responsibility and that my words in the past might one way or another, have harmed or offended others. Although I believe I come from a family of good morals and up bringing - I've been rather insensative about my words and actions.

I'm greatly ashamed and embarrased of what I've done.

I realised that even though I can't escape from my mistakes of the past, I've gradually grown up and matured much over the years, and have come to accept my wrong-doings; taking full responsibility of my actions.

I am officially and sincerely apologising to anyone that I've hurt or offended throughout my time blogging, and will make any amends and changes neccessary to correct them. I hope I'm worthy of forgiveness.

As for the incident mentioned above, I will make it my top priority to meet directly with individuals and parties involved to convey my sincerest personal apologies.

What do u mean by "I'm greatly ashamed and embarrased of what I've done"? What hv u done/said in ur blog so badly tat u hv to feel so guilty about?

Been reading ur blog for many yrs now, I personally think u done nothing wrong to anyone or hv you blog anything bad( as in cursing ppl or so on).I've always admire the way you write(esp in mandarin) and ur words sometimes has been my source of inspiration as well ;) Anyway, personal blog shud be a personal matter, and it's the expression of one's thoughts and thinking. No one can judge you but yourself.

Although there are some ppl who might not like wat u write in ur blog or think tat u've hurt them by ur words, always believe that there are still other ppl who really likes reading ur blog and admire ur style of writing, agree? ^^ So,keep up blogging n dun give up,k?

Rgds,
Allysa

allysa: actually, parents of a friend of mine read my blog posts and were appalled that I might have make jokes about their children which, although in a joking manner, might have serious consequences. dats really it.

but i suppose if anyone finds anything offensive, then it is just rightful that i should remove it.

i hope everything will turn out fine.

Hi Chunggy (Should be Chung Fui, but I'm really tempted to call you Chunggy), It's no wonder you've been missing from the blogging world for a month. I can fully understand how you feel. You cannot really control what people feel or think or infer from what you have written on your blog. It's sometimes inevitable but I'm sure you didn't mean it. Can tell that you're a Mr Nice Guy.

Recently, a similar incident happened to me. A joke that I told in class, one class responded well, the other class had participants who became defensive and accused me of stereotyping, when I really only meant it as a joke. Words are double-edged swords.

Anyway, hope that all is well for you. God bless you.
